Zico Foundation and Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC Unite to Fund Vaccine Refrigerators for Hospitals in Thailand

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Zico Foundation, in partnership with Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club, launched a fundraising campaign to provide vaccine refrigerators for under-resourced hospitals across Thailand. All proceeds from the campaign were dedicated exclusively to purchasing vaccine refrigeration equipment to strengthen healthcare facilities during the national vaccination rollout.

To support the initiative, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club granted Zico Foundation the rights to distribute its Limited Edition Yellow Supporters' Jersey. Individuals who donated THB 330 received one officially licensed commemorative jersey as a token of appreciation, with every contribution directly supporting the vaccine refrigerator project.

On 9 June 2021, Kiatisuk Senamuang, President of Zico Foundation, personally transferred THB 45,903 from Vietnam to the campaign. The donation was used in full to purchase vaccine refrigerators for hospitals in Thailand that lacked adequate cold-chain storage capacity.

This initiative demonstrates how the football community can unite across borders to address urgent public health needs. Through international collaboration and the generosity of supporters, Zico Foundation helped strengthen Thailand's healthcare system during one of the country's most challenging periods of the COVID-19 pandemic.
